Divel's Mark Set 4, #1

this page was inspired by stonework and symbolic/mythological carvings of old. the center Green Man character is fashioned like an over-sized door knocker, and the male and female 'statues' appear almost cherub-like (a bashful young boy and a seductive she-devil).

this is my Grim Reaper page, a classic tattoo idea with a twist in his gesture, as if saying, "You're not going anywhere!" or "You're next!"

Divel's Mark Set 4, #3

female monsters - to the left is my imagination's depiction of the deer horned demon as a female nature spirit. if the design were to be extended/completed, i pictured her with a doe-like lower body. The creature to the right is a spider-like, exoskeleton face and body with spider or crab-like legs. Her hard body exaggerates and stark contrast to the softness of her femininity ( i.e. her vagina).

These two characters are very similar in style. which, i felt worked great together on a page, as though they are threatening each other before the fight in an animalistic display of brawn/muscular strength and superiority.

this page is similar in concept to the last. although in this one there is the contrast between the size of the demon-like monsters, the quick and agile demon to the left in comparison to the bulky yet strong one to the right.
